We used to sing that song when we were on our way to visit my gramma, who actually lived on the top of a mountain.  

We recently went to Mount Rainier, and I thought about you the whole time.  You would've been in wonder, and I can see your eyes and hear your voice.  You would've loved the cabin and the beautiful place it was located.  You would've loved seeing the giant trees, the snow, the waterfalls.  You wouldn't even have had to get out of the truck.

I think of you all the time.  You would love it here.  You'd love our huge rose trellis, our willows, our larches, our fountain, our garden.  I look around and think about you and how you would've been happy to be here with me.  I wish there was some way to show you.  I wish you were still here.

I can't believe it's been almost 10 years.  It feels like you left us just yesterday.  You were always a port in every storm, and I'll forever be grateful for our close relationship and your awe of nature.  Miss you.  Love you.  Always.
