This site is dedicated to the memory of Nanny.
Nanny was born Patricia Jean Douglas in Louisiana on September 19, 1937, but was named Nanny by her first grandchild, and it stuck.
Her home was the Mississippi Gulf Coast, where she lived with her daughter, Cindy Harvey, and her granddaughter, Christi Lanham. She eventually moved to Nashville, TN, where she was cared for by Cindy and her husband, Bob, and her granddaughter, Christi.
She was a Christian who loved her family dearly, enjoyed baseball and other sports, adored country music, and one of her favorite things to do was eat vegetables that came right out of the garden.
We all love her and miss her.
May she rest in peace.

I'm Free
Don't grieve for me for now I'm free,
I'm following the path God laid for me.

I miss you, Mama. I don't know who I am without you. You were my ally, my accomplice, my partner in this life for most of my years, my inspiration, my guidance, my support every second of her day. right now, i can clearly hear her voice say, 'oh cindy,' cuz that's what she'd say when i'd cry.
